One may run into the failed to initialize error upon plugging their Eye-Fi Card into their computer which may be caused by a couple things. Listed below are different causes of this error which are followed by things to try to rectify the error.
- The Eye-Fi Card may not be properly plugged in to the reader – remove the card from the reader and firmly insert in to the reader

- The Eye-Fi Card reader is faulty – Try a different card reader or contact Eye-Fi Support and request a card reader
