If the Eye-Fi Manager website and your Eye-Fi Manager Software are running without issue and you see the following warning:
“There was an error… The Eye-Fi Manager website is having difficulty communicating with the Eye-Fi Manager Software”
you likely have some sort of software or browser plugin that is affecting the Eye-Fi Manager Software and website from communicating with each other.
Typically one of the following reasons will cause the Eye-Fi Manager website from communicating with the Eye-Fi Manager Software installed on your computer.
- Security or anti-Virus software, Firefox or Active X plugin
- The web browser is not sending the “Referer Header” (Firefox browsers)
Please try the following steps if you are getting the message shown above to see if they remedy the situation.
- Log out of the Eye-Fi Manager.
- Disable or remove any security software on your system. e.g. Virus protection software, Anti Spy or malware software
- Disable FireFox or Active X browser plugins
- Assign the “referer header” in FireFox
a. Open up a new Firefox tab.
b. Type about:config into the address bar and hit enter.
c. Enter “network.http.sendRefererHeader” in the “Filter” field

d. Change the “value” to “2″ if it is not already set.
e. Restart Firefox
- Log back into your Eye-Fi Manager
