Print

Eye-Fi geotagged photos will not display the location information when uploaded to Flickr until you make some changes to the Flickr default settings. The geoprivacy and “Import EXIF Location Data” settings must be enabled for your Flickr your account.

Setting the “Import EXIF Location Data”

From your Flickr homepage find the drop down menu under “You”:

1. Choose “Your Account”.
2. Click on the “Privacy and Permissions” link.
3. Scroll down the page and under “Defaults for new uploads”,
4. Look to make sure that “Import EXIF location data” is set to “Yes” or change it to “Yes” if it set to “No”

Change your “Geoprivacy” setting

Once you are sure that “Import EXIF location data” is set to yes, go to the Geoprivacy page . This page will allow you to globally set the geoprivacy permissions for all of your photos.

1. Choose the level of default privacy you want to use.

  • Only You
  • Your Friends and/or Family
  • Your Family
  • Your Friends
  • Your Contacts
  • Anyone (Recommended)

2. Click the “Save” button.

After this your location data should be visible in Flickr for any new geotagged photos that you or your Eye-Fi Geo-enabled Card uploads.
