Existing SmugMug members and those who sign up for a new SmugMug account can automatically upgrade each of their Eye-Fi cards with the Webshare service to include one year of free Geotagging and Hotspot access. Upgrading your card(s) is easy, just follow the steps described below and you will soon be able to upload photos from Wayport Hotspots and magically have your SmugMug photos automatically geotagged.

Instructions for upgrading an Eye-Fi card with Hotspot access and Geotagging via SmugMug.

1. Insert your Eye-Fi card into the card reader.
2. Launch the Eye-Fi Manager and log into your account
3. Navigate to Settings
4. Click on Upload to Web
5. Select your SmugMug profile, and DELETE it (you will NOT lose any of your upload histories)
6. Click to Add another photo service
7. Notice how SmugMug is now at the top
8. Select it, and enter your account credentials
9. Go back to Settings, and notice how now, you have Geotagging and Hotspots as new features on your card.
10. Navigate to Hotspots, agree to the Terms and Conditions, and activate it
11. Navigate to Geotagging, and activate it
12. If you’d like, navigate to Notifications, and 1 or more SMS’s or emails. This way, you’ll know when your Eye-Fi Card is uploading from open hotspots or Wayport hotspots (or at home)

That’s it. You’re done. Remove your Eye-Fi Card from the reader, and enjoy your new features for 1 free year. Notice how cool your photos look on SmugMug, when they’re geotagged.

Note: This SmugMug upgrade offer only allows geotagging to occur for photos uploaded to SmugMug. Uploading photos to other online sharing sites will not display geotag information when your card has been upgraded via the steps descibed above. This offer applies to each Eye-Fi card with Webshare paired to a SmugMug account.
