Setting up an iPhone or iPad to upload images to the computer

Enabling Eye-Fi provides you with the freedom to send photos and videos directly to your computer and/or online sharing site from you iOS device. In order to make use of Eye-Fi on your Apple iOS device you will need to be sure you have the following before you begin.

• Eye-Fi card
• An iOS device with iOS 4.0 or higher
• The Eye-Fi app for the iPhone or iPad version 2.0.1 or higher
• An iOS device with an internet connection

Note: If you are already signed in to the app, skip to step 7.

Part I: Download and set up the Eye-Fi App for Apple iOS

1. On your iOS device, access the App Store and search for “Eye-Fi”
2. Download and install the Eye-Fi App for iOS
3. Launch the Eye-Fi app for iOS on your device
4. Login to your Eye-Fi account using the same credentials you use to login to Eye-Fi Center
   
5. On the “Card Pairing” screen tap the “Skip” button if you do not want to receive media from your Eye-Fi card on this device. If you do want your iOS device to receive photos from your Eye-Fi Card, go to the Direct Mode setup instructions.
   
6. Tap the “Done” button to continue to the home screen.
   
7. Tap the gear on the top left to open settings.
   
8. Select Upload Settings
   
9. Tap the settings you wish to turn on.
   

Your iOS device is now set to upload to your computer. The next step is to set the destination on the computer. Go to Part II below to set this.

Part II: Setting up your computer to receive images

1. Launch Eye-Fi Center
   
2. Click the Settings gear icon next to your iPhone or iPad to open the Settings panel
   
3. Click the “Photos” tab
   
4. Click the “Computer” sub-tab
   
5. Select the “Upload to this computer” checkbox
   
6. Under “Manage” select a desired folder destination for saving photos. NOTE: Apple users may use the drop-down menu to select “iPhoto” as their photo destination
   
7. If you like you may choose from several options for naming subfolders via the “subfolder options” and “subfolder date options” radio buttons
   
8. Click the “Save” button
   
9. If you wish to send images from your iOS device to an online sharing site automatically, click the Online tab follow the instructions to Add a sharing site
10. If you also wish videos from your iOS device to be sent to your computer, click on the Videos tab and repeat steps 4-9.
