Enable hotspots

For cards which have purchased the Hotspot service or are still in the free year for Pro and Explore cards, follow the instructions below to enable the service. If you need to purchase the service instead, go here for purchase instructions.

NOTE: Hotspots have the lowest network priority. Eye-Fi cards will only connect to a hotspot if there are no configured private networks in range and Direct Mode is not enabled:

1. Ad-Hoc connections
2. Infrastructure WLAN
3. Direct Mode
4. Hotspot

1. After installing Eye-Fi Center, insert the Eye-Fi Card into the USB card reader

   

2. Insert the USB card reader into your PC or Mac

   

3. Launch Eye-Fi Eye-Fi Center if it is not already running

   

4. Log into Eye-Fi Center

   

5. Click the Settings icon next to your card name

   

6. Select the "Networks" tab of the card settings dialog

   

7. Select the "Public Hotspots" tab of the settings dialog

   

8. In the "Enable" section select the "Connect to Hotspots and Open Networks" check box

   

9. Click the "Save" Button. You have now enabled your Eye-Fi Card to take advantage of supported hotspots.
